Write/edit a basic web page using HTML tags.

Understand the term web 'elements / objects'
Plan and create a web site structure using appropriate conventions & folders.
Understand that a web site is made from a set of structured and planned resources.
Use web authoring software to write one or more pages which include text and graphics.
Know the need for sensible file and folder naming.
The web site includes easy to use navigation.
Understand the term 'target audience' and how web sites are written in a particular style.
Use a range of sources for web elements and graphics which may include creating your own.
Know the HTML tags to create a simple web page.
Use software to make web elements interactive, e.g. roll-over buttons, galleries, etc. Select and use software and appropriate skills to add interactivity to the web site undestanding how it improves the web site for the end user.

Use Javascript, Flash or other methods to add greater functionality to your web site.
Understand the term ' style sheets'
Use templates / style sheets to ensure consistent navigation and page design.

Use more advanced web authoring tools e.g. checking for broken links
Understand new and developing technologies that will improve connectivity, web pages and their use.
Add additional features to the web site, e.g. search tools or page counters.
Understand how to use an 'image map' that includes linked or hotspots.
